Elmer Chocolate has opened its doors to students and educators from Ponchatoula High School, Louisiana State University, Northshore Technical Community College, Southeastern Louisiana University and Oak Forest Academy as part of an effort to change people’s perceptions about today’s manufacturing environment and draw attention to the outstanding opportunities a career in manufacturing can provide.
Bob Zabbia, Mayor of Ponchatoula, kicked off last year’s event saying “We appreciate Elmer’s continued investment in our community and their leadership to empower young people to create positive change.”
“By showcasing our investment in technology and our community, we hope to inspire younger generations to explore the significant opportunities in manufacturing,” said Robert A. Nelson, Chief Executive Officer for Elmer Chocolate.
