Defining taste – designing the better flavor wheel

You know what you like to taste, but can you quantify the experience of taste? Flavor wheels help translate sensory experiences into words, although perhaps not providing a lexicon for the development of flavors that occur when combining foods with beverages or influenced by temperature change.
