Welcome to our 125 student guests this week!

125 students from 11 schools are learning about careers in the confectionery and snack industry this week at Sweets & Snacks EXPO. The Confectionery Foundation welcomes students from: Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management, University of Wisconsin-Madison, St. Joseph’s University, University of Western Michigan, French Pastry School, Triton College engineering and culinary programs, Lincoln Land Community College hospitality, Simeon Career electrical and culinary, Bethel University and Rowan University.

The Confectionery Foundation’s education program at Sweets & Snacks EXPO demonstrates the heart and soul of our industry. Volunteer Mentor Guides and Booth Hosts share their knowledge and insights in this industry immersion program.

2014 is the third year of our educational outreach. Our pilot program Career Fair provides the opportunity for students to speak with representatives of these nine confection, ingredient and packaging companies following lunch sponsored by The Hershey Company. The lunch keynote speaker is Thomas Joyce, Vice President Global Customer and Industry Affairs for The Hershey Company.
